About Me

Hi! I'm Shaindel! (Pronounced "SHAYN" as in train and "del" as in candle.) I'm the one behind the camera at Gentle Touch Photography.

 

For as long as I can remember I had an interest in photography. I got my first camera – a film camera that I still have stored away – before I was 10 years old. My parents encouraged me to capture my experiences and take pictures on every family outing.

 

As a teenager my love for photography merged with my love for children. I’ve been around kids my whole life and I love relating to children. So I started learning how to take beautiful portraits of little kids – my nieces, nephews or friends’ kids. But when my best friend had her first baby, my focus entirely moved to the art of newborn photography.

Babies stay so small and cuddly for such a short time. It’s so important to capture these precious moments and remember this time when they are still little, sweet, and innocent.

Having waited 10 years for my first child, I understand how special and precious these moments are. You can't have enough pictures. These are the memories you will have forever, and I would be honored to preserve every special moment and create something you can always treasure.
